Rochdale Educational Trusts.

Applicants for grants from the Trusts should:

Reside in the area of the Ancient Parish of Rochdale (N.B. the geographical area of the Ancient Parish of Rochdale includes Rochdale, Littleborough, Milnrow, Wardle, Whitworth, Todmorden, Saddleworth); or

Attend a school in the area of the Ancient Parish of Rochdale; or

Have attended a school in the area.

NOTE: There is no age limit for applicants, but preference will be given to persons qualified who are under the age of 25 years.

What grants are available

Grants from the Trusts may be given for any purpose which promotes the education of the applicant (including social and physical training). In particular, monies may be given for the following purposes:

Scholarships, bursaries, grants or maintenance allowances tenable at any school, University, College or Education or other institution of further or higher (including professional and technical) education approved by the Trustees;

A Scholarship or maintenance allowance to enable such persons to travel, whether in the United Kingdom or abroad to pursue their education;

To provide financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable such persons to prepare for, or to assist their entry into a profession, trade or calling.

Deadlines for application returns

The Trust meets 3 times a year, for application forms to be considered at these meetings, please return completed forms by either the 20 February, 20 May or 31 August each year.
